The first residents moved into the new town in 1957; it received town status in 1966 and has had its present name since 1991. A planned, largely decades-old building stock gives a very different thermal picture from an old market-town centre.

It is roughly 35 km by road from Tiszavasvári, so there is no travel fee in Tiszaújváros.

Industrial park and support sites

The municipality created the industrial park of about 140 hectares in 1997. In such an environment, manufacturing and assembly halls, warehouses, maintenance workshops and office buildings drive the heating bill. In those halls we look for the usual items: panel joints, doors, roof junctions, thermal bridges.

We do not survey the process equipment of the large chemical plants. We enter hazardous (for example explosion-risk) areas only according to the site’s entry and safety rules, accompanied by someone you provide.

District heat and buried pipes

The city has an extensive district-heating network, and on larger sites and institutional campuses pre-insulated buried pipes between two buildings are common. With a leak the loss is twofold: heat and make-up water.

A surface thermal image shows a buried leak only indirectly, so we treat results for buried runs as indicative; the exact location must be confirmed with another method (pipe-run survey: HUF 60,000 + VAT per started 500 m, minimum HUF 90,000).

Thermal spa and sports park

The Tiszaújváros medicinal and outdoor spa uses thermal water rising from 1,200 metres at 57 °C; the pools run between 32 and 40 °C. The city also has a sports park. In such facilities the plant room, heat exchangers and pipework, and the pool-hall envelope, are the main places to look.

Climate: Continuously running pipes and heating hours

For hot-water lines that run continuously, the Nyíregyháza reference data show about 5,340 hours a year below 15 °C; that is how many hours we count for the pipe’s heat loss if the network runs throughout the heating period. For building envelopes, the hours below 12 °C (about 4,500 hours) are what matter.

When to book

For buried pipes the heating season is the right time: under steady load, on a dry, calm night, agreed in advance with the pipe operator. For this service a precise question matters most: is your priority heat loss, make-up water consumption or the location of the leak?

Halls and institutions are scanned from October to March; electrical cabinets can be scanned in summer under higher load as well.
