Legal Notice – limits of the service
1. Short notice (website header strip, quote and report footer)
Engineering thermal-imaging survey – not an accredited or certified inspection. It does not replace an energy performance certificate, a statutory energy audit, mandatory electrical-safety or fire-safety inspections; those are carried out by professionals authorised under Hungarian law.
2. Medium notice (report cover page, quote, FAQ)
What this report is and is not
This report is an engineering assessment based on a thermal-imaging survey with supplementary visual (RGB and, where agreed, drone) data. Its purpose is to locate, rank and estimate the cost impact of heat losses and thermal irregularities. Savings and payback figures are estimates based on stated assumptions and are not commitments.
The survey is not an accredited or certified inspection and is not an energy performance certificate, a statutory energy audit or energy-specialist (szakreferens) service, an electrical safety inspection, a fire-safety inspection, a building-expert or court-expert opinion, or structural, design or technical-supervision work. It does not replace compliance with any statutory obligation; those tasks are performed by professionals authorised under Hungarian law and serve different purposes.
The method draws on the principles of recognised standards (e.g. ISO 6781); this is a methodological reference, not a declaration of conformity. Results reflect the weather and operating conditions at the time of measurement and do not guarantee that hidden defects will be found.
3. Long notice (extract from Section 5 of the Terms)
5.1 The Service is a thermal-imaging (and supplementary) survey, data processing and engineering assessment intended to locate, rank and estimate the cost impact of losses and irregularities. It is not an accredited or certified inspection.
5.2 The Service is not, and the Documentation is not suitable as: (a) an energy performance certificate under Gov. Decree 176/2008 (VI. 30.); (b) an energy audit or energy-specialist (szakreferens) service under Act LVII of 2015; (c) an electrical safety inspection under NGM Decree 40/2017 (XII. 4.); (d) a fire-safety inspection under BM Decree 54/2014 (XII. 5.) (OTSZ); (e) a building-expert or court-expert opinion; (f) structural, design, technical-supervision or construction work; (g) a document for use in official or court proceedings, insurance claims or lender submissions unless the parties expressly agree otherwise in writing.
5.3 The activities in 5.2 require statutory authorisation, registration or qualification and serve different purposes; the Provider assumes no obligation to perform them. The Client remains responsible for its own statutory compliance.
5.4 References to standards (e.g. ISO 6781) are methodological references, not statements of conformity or certification. Statements about the Provider’s staff qualifications refer only to qualifications actually held.
5.5 Before implementing measures derived from the Documentation, the Client must obtain design, contractor and (if needed) regulatory expertise.
(The full, binding text is in Section 5 of the Terms; in case of discrepancy the Terms prevail.)
4. What does the service not replace? (list)
A thermal-imaging survey can complement but does not replace the following, which under law may be carried out only by authorised professionals and which demonstrate compliance:
| Statutory activity | Legal basis | What it serves |
|---|---|---|
| Energy performance certificate | Government Decree 176/2008 (VI. 30.) | certifying the energy characteristics of buildings (mandatory in cases set by law) |
| Energy audit, energy-specialist (szakreferens) duty | Act LVII of 2015 on energy efficiency; Government Decree 122/2015 (V. 26.) | system-level analysis of energy use of businesses obliged under the law |
| Electrical safety inspection | NGM Decree 40/2017 (XII. 4.) | periodic safety inspection of electrical installations |
| Fire-safety inspection (including of electrical installations) | BM Decree 54/2014 (XII. 5.) (OTSZ) | fire-safety compliance |
| Court-expert / building-expert opinion | Act XXIX of 2016 on court experts; building rules | court and official proceedings |
| Structural, design, technical-supervision, construction work | applicable building rules | design, construction, supervision |
We look for where heat escapes and what it costs in HUF; inspections required by law serve a different purpose. The two complement each other.
5. Notice on estimates
5.1. Every loss, cost, saving and payback value in reports and on the website is an estimate: model-based, shown as a range, with the assumptions and the date of the energy price used (e.g. “at October 2026 prices”). Actual values may differ.
5.2. Savings are not guaranteed. Savings arise only if the suggestions are implemented and actual energy prices, usage patterns and construction costs are close to the assumptions. We promise no guaranteed savings.
5.3. Thermography measures surface temperature distribution; not every hidden defect shows on an infrared image. The measurement reflects the weather and operating conditions at the time of observation. A result obtained without the survey conditions is qualitative only and is labelled as such.
6. Case studies and examples
Case studies on the website and in presentation material are illustrations: built from open-licensed images (CC0, CC BY), open-licensed 3D models and simulated data; they do not describe a real client, and their results are not real results or a promise of the service. Every case study states: “Example – illustration from open-licensed images and simulated data, not a real client.” The sources of images and models are on the page concerned and on the Image Credits page (/forrasok/).
We do not publish invented client testimonials, client logos, reviews or satisfaction statistics.
7. Thermal screening of electrical equipment
Thermal screening of electrical cabinets is a qualitative survey of surface temperature distribution; it is not an electrical safety inspection, an earthing or compliance check, or a fire-safety inspection. Cabinets are opened by the client’s authorised electrician; our staff do not touch live parts. The result makes no statement on the safety of the equipment.
8. Drone imaging
We offer and perform drone imaging only where airspace and permits allow. We may refuse a flight for airspace restrictions, official bans, weather or safety reasons; in that case we do not charge for the drone item or we refund it (Terms, Section 12). The Privacy Notice governs the processing of data in drone images.
9. Who is it for?
Our service is for businesses only. We do not provide services to consumers. The website content is general information, not individual engineering or legal advice; in an individual case the survey and report apply.
10. Responsibility for website content
The provider compiles and updates the website content with care but, apart from its contractual liability for the service, does not accept liability for its completeness, continuous availability or freedom from errors. The terms of the service are determined solely by the concluded contract and the Terms. The limitation of liability does not affect liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited (Terms, Section 21).
